Wicked For Good
St Louis, MO (2025) |
I first took this as a simple photo to capture the great “wicked for good” tagline but when I turned to walk on, noticed the great depth in both direcitons and upgraded to a pano which turned out kinda delightful. |
|
Badlands @ the Badlands
Badlands, SD (2025) |
This was my last stop on a 10-state driving tour of America. Seemed a poignant way to puncuate 93 hours in the car. |
|
Devil's Bowl Sunset
Depoe Bay, OR (2025) |
I'm not a big ocean guy but it is hard to argue that it provides the perfect canvas for a setting sun. |
|
Moon Crater
Craters of the Moon, ID (2025) |
The reason I haven't travelled abroad more is I feel like there are so many curious spots in America I have yet to see. Who knew that we had our very own moonscape in the middle of no-where Idaho. |
|
Little America
Little America, WY (2022) |
Early morning from my my favorite hotel/oasis in America. |
|
Car Camping Morning
Cincinatti, OH (2025) |
I bought a for bronco for two reasons. First (and foremost) because I could get it in a manual. And second, becuase you could get a custom fit bed in the back. It is unreaosonable how much joy those two simple features bring me. |

Shafer Road
Canyonlands, UT (2025) |
Your reward for surviving thirty miles of rough, rocky, and muddy terrain is a sheer wall of switch backs to climb out of the hole you are in. It is daunting enough that you consider turning around and re-doing the thirty miles instead of the three miles straight up. |
|
Thelma & Louise Jump
Canyonlands, UT (2025) |
We had lunch at this picturesque spot which we did not know at the time was where the end scene from Thelma and Louise was filmed. |
|
Seriously?
University City, MO (2025) |
The young couple that live next to us bought their house exactly three days before a giant tree fell on top of it. There are actually two trees involved here. The one of the right fell into another equally large tree on the other side of the road. That second tree is the one that fell into the houses (but is obscured by the first tree). |

WGHS State Champs
Columbia, MO (2025) |
Marty works at a school that claims a surprising number of basketball championships. I have fortunately been in attendance for a good number of them. |
|
Last Out, First In
Cincinatti, OH (2024) |
The good thing about being the last to leave is it also means you are the first to arrive. |
|
My old biking trail
Castlewood State Park, MO (2022) |
This overlook is a quarter mile from suburban America. I marvel at these hidden gems that sit just on the other side of six foot privacy fences. |
|
Motherhood
St Louis, MO (2023) |
There are just some things only mothers can do. |
|
Atop Horsetooth Dam
Fort Collins, CO (2021) |
One of my favorite spots on this planet. When young I’d park my car here (where my bike is) overlooking the nighttime lights of Fort Collins, CO and chat with friends or a date or all by myself contemplating life's future. Young people today can’t do this anymore because of the string of No Parking signs along the route. This is why today's youth is so troubled--we've taken the best thinking spots away from them ;-) |

Sleeping Bear Sunrise
Glen Arbor, MI (2020) |
I will always take a sunrise over a sunset. This is triply true when I’m starting my day from my private beach-spot in northern Michigan. |
|
Covid School
University City, MO (2020) |
Hands down one of my favorite pictures I’ve ever taken. |
